MapxProp · Information for users
Privacy Policy
We use data so that you can search, post listings and get in touch easily. This page explains which data is used and disclosed, and how you can manage it.
Effective and last updated: September 27, 2026
1. Mapx Intelligence listing assistant
Using Mapx Intelligence is optional. You can still post a listing with the form as usual. When you press to let it help fill in the details, we will send the audio or text you choose to OpenAI for processing, then show you the listing to check and edit before it is published. The system does not publish listings or confirm location coordinates on your behalf.
MapxProp does not keep audio files. The transcribed text and the data used to prepare the listing may be stored together with the work in progress so that you can come back and edit it. Usage counts for the assistant are kept in order to limit the number of requests. The data you publish is saved as a listing through the normal process. Processing and data retention periods at OpenAI follow the provider’s terms of service and data controls. Please avoid saying information that is not necessary for the listing.
2. Search history and interests
When you press search or select a location, we store the search term, the selected location, the property type, whether the search is to buy or rent, the price range, and the time of the search, so that you can repeat a search, and to summarize interests for developing recommendations in the future. This data is what you searched for, not your current GPS position, and we do not record every character as you type.
People who have not signed in have their history in that browser. Members have a history that is separate for each account and can be used across devices when online. We do not automatically merge a visitor’s history into an account. We keep no more than the 100 most recent searches, can show up to 8 of the most recent unique search terms, and do not send this history to Google Analytics.
You can clear the history from the search box when no search term has been typed yet. Clearing an account’s history requires a successful connection to the system, and it also deletes the data used to calculate the interest summary. Clearing website data in the browser deletes only the data on the device. It does not delete the history held in the account on the system.
At present, recommended listings based on interests are not yet shown on the home page. The system does not use this history to set listing prices or for personalized advertising.
3. Who looks after your data
The operator of the MapxProp website is the data controller for the personal data collected to provide the service on mapxprop.com. This policy covers visitors, people who sign up as members, people who post listings, and people who contact us. If you want to ask a question or exercise your data rights, contact mapxprop@gmail.com or use the channels at the bottom of this page.
4. Data we use
We use account data, such as your name, email address, phone number, profile picture, and information you choose to fill in. When you sign in with Google or LINE, we receive account data according to the permissions you grant. We do not receive the passwords for your accounts with those providers.
We use listing and organization data, such as property details, price, photos, location coordinates, address, contact channels, and verification information you send to us, as well as requests or messages sent to our team. Please send only information that is necessary and that you have the right to disclose. Do not put passwords, OTP codes, or bank account information in a listing.
We use technical data, such as IP address, device, browser, access and security logs, as well as listing views. The system also stores settings, saved listings, and some drafts on your device. Google Analytics runs only when you choose to consent.
5. What we use data for and on what basis
We use the data necessary to register and maintain accounts, verify email addresses, recover accounts, manage and publish listings, and respond to service requests, on the basis of performing a contract or of a request made before entering into a contract. If you do not provide necessary data, such as an email address for signing up, you may not be able to use that part, but you can still search public listings.
We use data as far as necessary to maintain security, prevent fraud, handle reports about listings, and keep the system working, on the basis of legitimate interests and taking your rights into account. We may also keep or disclose data in order to comply with the law or with a lawful order.
Usage analysis with Google Analytics relies on consent. It is used to understand visits and the use of features, such as contacting the person who posted a listing and the steps for creating a listing. You can refuse or withdraw consent without losing the right to use the main service.
6. Which data is public
Data you publish in a listing or on an organization page, such as the contact name, phone number, LINE, photos, address, and location coordinates, may be visible to general visitors and search engines. You should check the data and the rights of people shown in photos before publishing. Do not include other people’s data without the right or an appropriate legal basis.
You can edit or manage listings through your account. Removing a listing from the website does not make copies saved by other people or the caches of external search engines disappear immediately. A listing owner who is contacted directly is responsible, according to their own duties, for the use of the data you send to them.
7. Data recipients and external services
Data may be accessed by the relevant administrators and by providers of infrastructure, hosting, file storage, and email delivery, including Resend, in order to provide the service to you, within the scope that is necessary. It may also be disclosed to competent authorities when the law requires.
The website uses external services, such as Google or LINE for signing in, Longdo maps, and Google Analytics when consent has been given. These providers may process data in other countries under their own terms. Sending or transferring data must comply with the applicable data protection requirements.
Opening links, phone calls, LINE, a listing owner’s website, or externally embedded media may send technical data to that provider. Please read the policies of the services you choose to use. MapxProp’s analytics cookie setting does not control external websites.
8. Data retention period and security
We keep data for the period necessary for its purpose, taking into account the status of the account and listings, responding to requests, preventing misuse, and legal duties or disputes. When there is no necessary reason, we will delete it, destroy it, or make it unable to identify a person. Backup copies may remain until the backup data management cycle, and bringing them back into use is restricted.
The system uses HTTPS connections and limits access to data according to use. Data on your device can be deleted through your browser settings. For data on the system, you can submit a deletion request through the channels at the bottom of the page. The durations of cookies and of data stored in the browser are explained separately on the Cookies page.
9. Rights and how to send a request
Subject to the conditions of the law, you may ask to access or receive a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to its processing, receive or transfer your data, and withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal, and you have the right to complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee.
Send your request to mapxprop@gmail.com, stating the right you want to exercise and the account email or listing concerned. We may ask for information, as far as necessary, to verify your identity and prevent disclosure to the wrong person. We will consider the request and tell you the result within the period set by law. If there is a reason why we cannot carry out all of it, we will tell you the reason as permitted by law. You do not need to send a password or OTP.
10. Changes to this policy
We will show the update date on this page. When there is a material change, we will give notice through an appropriate channel and ask for new consent when necessary under the law.
