Cookie Policy

1. Search history on your device

localStorage items whose names begin with mapxprop_search_history_v2 are used to store the search history and the queue waiting to sync, no more than the 100 most recent searches, with visitors kept separate from each account. The data stays until you clear the history, delete website data, or new entries replace it. For members, clearing the history with the button in the search box also deletes the history on the system when the connection succeeds.

2. What cookies and browser data are

Cookies are small pieces of data that the browser stores for a website. localStorage and sessionStorage are used to remember settings or data on the device. This policy explains all three types. Your settings apply only to this browser and this device.

3. Data essential to the service

The mapxprop_access cookie is used to verify the session and lasts about 15 minutes. The mapxprop_refresh cookie is used to renew the sign-in and lasts about 30 days. Temporary cookies for signing in through an external provider last about 10 minutes. Renewing or signing in again may start a new period.

The language, currency, and search category settings you choose may be stored in cookies for up to 1 year and in localStorage. The theme, listings saved on the device, and drafts may remain until you delete them or the system replaces them. Temporary data in sessionStorage is gone when the tab’s session ends, according to how the browser works.

We store your cookie choice in localStorage under the name mapxprop_cookie_consent for 180 days. After that, you will be asked to choose again. This data is used according to the functions you request. Turning off all essential cookies or storage may make it impossible to sign in, save listings, or retrieve drafts.

4. Analytics cookies — optional

When you consent, we use Google Analytics to see statistics on visits, devices, and the use of features, such as pressing to contact and the steps for posting a listing. Google may set the _ga and _ga_* cookies. The website sets the lifetime of analytics cookies at no more than 180 days per cookie update. The use of data for personalized advertising is not turned on through this tag.

Before you choose to consent, the website will not load the Google Analytics tag and will not send analytics events to that service. If you choose essential only, you can still search, save, post listings, and make contact as usual. Service and security logs on the server are separate from analytics cookies.

5. Changing your mind or withdrawing consent

You can press “Cookie settings” on this page or at the bottom of the website at any time, then choose “Essential only” to stop new analytics data from being sent and to delete the analytics cookies that the website can access. Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete data that has already been processed. If you want to exercise your data rights, contact us.

You can also delete or block cookies and website data through your browser settings. If you delete website data, the system will not remember your earlier choice and may ask you to choose again. When you change device or browser, the settings must be made separately.

6. External services

Displaying maps, external media, signing in with Google or LINE, and opening contact channels may cause the browser to connect to the provider concerned so that the function works. MapxProp’s analytics cookie choice controls the website’s Google Analytics. It does not change the account settings or cookies of other websites.
